EASTER SUNDAY 2021

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL MY FOLLOWERS

The sun is shining at the moment here in Folkestone so I imagine there will be lots of you out for a walk or slaving over the kitchen stove as we cannot go out for lunch at the moment. Some places are doing a take-away service with the traditional lamb roast that appears to be very popular this year. I think that is the best thing about covid, we can now get just about anything delivered and returns is so much easier now.

I am trying to get up to date with my book reviews today, why do I always leave it until I have got a pile to do? I had a nice day yesterday with my granddaughter Jade, I also delivered eggs to my nieces and adorable nephew Oliver, he got a gorgeous egg cup instead of chocolate.

I received an egg from my daughter Billie and flowers that are filling the room with their scent. They said it was to stop me from eating the children’s eggs as I have to admit I did do once, ok maybe twice in the week but I have replaced them.

I cooked a little piece of lamb yesterday so today I will be using it to make a couscous recipe that was in the Tesco monthly free magazine. They very often have some brilliant ideas in there so I try to grab one when I go to Tesco as you don’t get one with your online shopping, maybe they should rectify that, you could tick a box if you would like one when you order.

I am loving the flowery gin glass which was one of my presents from my son on Mother’s Day. I have decided that this year I will grow my herbs all together in a pot in the kitchen as I often forget about them when they are growing in the garden.

I do hope you are having a wonderful weekend, make sure you do something that is just for you as we all need spoiling from time to time.
