GREEK NIGHT AT THE BARBADOS

For September there are still a lot of people about in Corfu so when The Barbados had their Greek night on Saturday the place was packed, it was nice to see though. They have all had a good summer which they really needed after the last few years. Santa Barbara used to be a very quiet place but the tourists and Greeks have now discovered it so everywhere is busy. There are no car parks so everyone parks along the road, this only leads to the beach so not very much traffic.

Four dancers that do a variety of Greek dances then they finish with the belly dancing. They encourage participation so if anybody has had a few drinks they are up on the dance floor. The drinks are made very strong unless you tell them, Cristoss now’s how we like them now.

That evening there was a Greek wedding in the bar next to us, they got married in the village early evening then came to the reception which went on until the early hours. I find Greek music all sounds very the same and apparently nearly all of their songs are about love.

We had our own party on the balcony lol. We are half way through our holiday, we have booked to go on the boat to Paxos this week and we are going into St George one day and hopefully catch a show in the evening.

Where is the best place you have been on holiday and for what reason did you love it?
