I had one last trip to Spain in the camper before I sold it, a lovely three weeks of sunshine and some of it spent with the family in a villa called the Orange House at Finestrat, where the youngsters spent most days in the pool. This was set between the mountains and the beach so you had the choice of many days out if you could walk up the very steep hill to the village. To get to Finestrat beach you had to get a taxi which cost €10 and if you wanted to go into Benidorm then it was €25 each way which makes it a very expensive night out!

On the way down we stopped at Dieppe in a camper parking area by the harbour, what a lovely town. The old buildings were so well maintained with many to see, I could have spent a few days here as I really liked it. The restaurants looked lovely with so many to choose from and all tastes and budgets catered for. We went to a local shop to buy the necessities of bread, a fine selection of cheeses and red wine and that was us sorted for the evening.
Ben and Kara got engaged at a lovely little Italian restaurant up in the village.
The villa we stayed in is open all year round and caters for climbers in the winter so they had a little practise room that the youngsters decided to try, a very funny couple of hours!
We went on some toll roads and with the tags that I had bought before we left we could just drive through the tolls without having to pay, you then get charged at the end of the following month by direct debit through your bank. This makes it all so easy and definitely better if you are travelling alone.
It was nice to have a final trip in the camper and now to look forward to other trips by car, coach and aeroplane. The first of which is at the end of the month so look out for the next travel news.
