SPADEWORK GARDEN CENTRE A friend told us about this garden centre which we had never heard of, so we took a trip out in the sunshine and were so glad we did. This is a charity with not only plants but produce and a cafe, it really is lovely, so much choice. We have banned ourselves from any more garden centres though!     Birchington has joined the literary buzz around the southeast with its first festival. Today was day one, the sun was shining, there was cake, interesting authors and plenty of people to listen. It made for an interesting day, I attended Carol Salters creative writing workshop where the topic was all about your characters and bringing them to life. The weather was glorious for the whole Easter weekend so people were out and about in Kent, I even saw some people having a swim in the sea. Whatever you did, I hope you had a really good time, it was nice to catch up with family and enjoy the children hunting for eggs.
