THE OLD BOOK SHOP

I was in heaven when I found this old bookshop, the selection of books was amazing, there is nothing better than looking at old books. I found one in English but set in Italy so bought it and I am halfway through, it is very nice light reading, just right for a holiday. This is the new cover, I prefer the old one.

VENICE We all left the hotel about 8 am on our way to Venice. We had a very overcast day but with all there was to see I don’t think it bothered anyone. We started the day by leaving the hotel by 10.30 which wasn’t too bad but I feel everyone is feeling a bit tired. We travelled to a place called Sirmoione which is on the southern peninsula of Lake Garda. I thought it was very reminiscent of the Lanes in Brighton. Most of the shops are expensive but there are also some beautiful things to buy. We went through a few towns such as Peschiera, which has canals going all around the town. The sun is warm when the wind drops but what a shock to the system with the temperature drop. I am so pleased that I am on holiday soon, we are going to Italy on a coach, we will be based in Lake Garda and we will be taken for days out to Venice and Verona.
