There are some beautiful cards and designs here in the small hut on the Harbour Arm, so many local people design and make such wonderful things to sell here in the Marketplace. I think I will start walking along the beach to collect some sea glass as it all looks amazing.

WEDNESDAY UNTIL SUNDAY FROM THE 26th JULY This is one of my favourite food festivals that is local to myself, it’s also nice to catch up with friends there and experience all the new stalls.  The writing group I run has a marquee with many local authors coming along to meet their readers to sign and sell their books. WINCHESTER CHRISTMAS MARKET

It takes about two hours to get to Winchester from Folkestone depending on the traffic but as we went on a Sunday the roads were pretty clear. I had never been to Winchester, I was amazed at so many old buildings, the Cathedral was lovely with such great stained glass windows. I was thrilled to see Jane Austin’s grave on the floor of the Cathedral. The High Street is one of the longest I have seen and it was great to see all the individual shops open and doing well.
