We did another coach trip with Real Socialising at the weekend, we picked the perfect day which was full of sunshine. I was surprised at how clear the water was when looking down from the pier, which was nice to see….Having problems with sewage released in some places due to the water companies, not sure how they get away with it, and some people refusing to pay their bills over it. It takes about two hours to get to Winchester from Folkestone depending on the traffic but as we went on a Sunday the roads were pretty clear. I had never been to Winchester, I was amazed at so many old buildings, the Cathedral was lovely with such great stained glass windows. I was thrilled to see Jane Austin’s grave on the floor of the Cathedral. The High Street is one of the longest I have seen and it was great to see all the individual shops open and doing well. I like nothing better than wandering around a market, this one in London has just about every type of food hut you could wish for. Plus the biggest selection of stalls that sell many random things. Camden is always busy especially in the summer so going now it was pleasant to walk around. Sitting having a coffee and people watching is always good and I often pick up things to write about or just keep them in a notebook for the right story.
