COMING HOME BY PATRICIA DIXON – BOOK REVIEW

As a young girl, Carmen Appleton loved the festivities, but when her father left home that fateful Christmas Eve, all that was left in his place were painful memories.

Now, for the first time in years, Carmen is ready to embrace Christmas again. For the sake of her family, she’s determined not to dwell on the past and to make this year one to remember.

But her daughters are all hiding secrets—secrets they dread their mother will discover…

Will this year be another Christmas ruined—or will the Appletons finally receive the best gift possible?

Patricia Dixon lives in Manchester and is an international best-selling author of eighteen novels.

She writes across genres including women’s fiction, historical fiction and psychological literary fiction.

Her stories are often set in her home city and the Loire. Both places are close to her heart and from where she gathers inspiration for her characters and tales.

In May 2017, she signed with Bloodhound Books, a leading fiction publisher

I love a good Christmas story to get you into the mood for all the festivities and this story ticked all the right boxes. With lots going on in this family with all the secrets they are all keeping, I loved the way it all fell together with the connections to make for a great Christmas happy ending. It feels like the characters are real as they fit the story so well, bringing it all the life as you read.

A great Christmas story.
