HARBOUR ARM FOLKESTONE, KENT UK
Last week I had a walk along the Harbour Arm. I have not been down there for a couple of years, as I could not walk that far with my hip. I was surprised at how much it had changed. FOLKESTONE IS A LIBRARY What an afternoon it was yesterday, Saturday the 28th March 2026. Folkestone attempted to get into the Guinness Book of Records for holding the biggest BOOK SWAP. I guess there must have been over 2,000 people who attended this brilliant event. The atmosphere was so nice, even though it was a bit chaotic, no one minded; they were just here to swap their books and have a nice afternoon. A couple of weeks ago, I took myself up to London on the coach with the Real Socialising group. Travelling by coach is significantly cheaper than taking the train, and it’s ideal for me as I can simply sit and read my book. The other advantage is that you can go wherever you want, and my first stops were some of the bookshops.
