HYTHE FESTIVAL
I popped over to Hythe yesterday which is only about five minutes from Folkestone in the car, traffic was minimal and parking was ok. On the green, in the middle of the one-way system they were holding the festival and my writing group Write By The Sea had a few tables where members were selling their books plus we had use of the marquee for some readings. It was great to see some of the stories from our two anthologies coming to life on the stage.
The festival was buzzing with many people meandering around the stalls, which I have to say were a great assortment.
Your fish and chips might have been a bit burnt but the local fireman soon had that sorted. I decided on a chicken wrap from the Greek stall which I have to say was delicious. I sat in the sunshine reading the book I had just been given called One road in by Hannah R. Palmer to review, definitely going to be a good read as it had me from the blurb on the back.
The live music from the stage was great background as you sat in the sunshine, yes we still have lovely weather here in Kent. Pop along for a great day out for all the family, see you later.
