SUNNY SEPTEMBER

As August was a washout it was a pleasant surprise that the sun has been shining this month, long may it continue but the nasty weatherman keeps saying it is going to rain next week!  I always think it is good when we have a bit of sun during September/October as it feels like winter will be a shorter season.

THE FOUNTAINS

We have the fountains in Folkestone so to make the most of the sunshine we took the children down there after school, they could really play for hours running in and out and collecting the water. Even Enzo enjoyed himself, he’s ten months now, where does the time go.

UNIVERSITY

As much as I am so pleased and proud that two of my granddaughters are going to university, I am missing them so much. Jade has gone to Bournemouth to study psychology, Izzy has gone up to Manchester, she is doing a degree and placement to become a midwife.

Just before they left we had a family dinner at Bella Vita which was so good, everybody came so it was the first time we had all been together for so long. I love the picture of all the small people on the adult’s phones, it certainly kept them quiet.

INSULATION & GAS CENTRAL HEATING

To say I was prepared for this amount of upheaval is so wrong and I probably would not have agreed to it if I had known. It’s going to take a week but then you have to wait two weeks for the plaster to dry out before the decorators start their work. I have stuff everywhere and am not really sure where to start, every surface is covered in dust. I don’t like having a mess so my anxiety is pretty high.

SUNDAY EVENT

Just to throw a bit more into my chaotic week I have the author signing and book event on Sunday from 10 to 4  At the time of publication I have 27 authors signed up to attend so it is going to be a great day. Please come along and support us, there will be an all-day raffle and food and drink available to buy.

I will let you know next week how it all went, for now, I will do a bit more dusting!

After an unpleasant week I hope you can at least enjoy the weekend. The family dinner looked fun but I imagine it was a little difficult with the two girls leaving and going in opposite directions. Not long till they’re home for Christmas though.(Sorry). Keep looking after yourself.
