   Last week I had a walk along the Harbour Arm. I have not been down there for a couple of years, as I could not walk that far with my hip. I was surprised at how much it had changed. There are so many stalls and eating places available now. I did pop in to see Dirk with his prints, they really are amazing, I have two hanging in my flat. COPACABANA MAGIC AT THE LEAS CLIFF HALL, FOLKESTONE

Last weekend, I went along to this tribute show with Sue, as Barry Manilow is one of her favourite singers. It was a shame to see that they had not sold the full amount of seats, but it sounded like everyone enjoyed themselves. The first half was full of his many songs, then the second half was all the favourites, which had people singing along. It was a very pleasant evening, and it made a nice change to go listen to something different. Leas Cliff Hall website here.

THE TEA ROOMS IN FOLKESTONE, KENT

I visited these tea rooms in the middle of town last week, as I had not been in there for a while. Their cakes have always been delicious, but this time we tried the scones. Kara had the savoury one with Brie, and I had the orange one with a really nice orange marmalade. You cannot beat a warm scone with whatever topping you choose; the range of choice is good.
