Shorter days, falling leaves and pumpkins for Halloween. Autumn is here so we say goodbye to sunny days at the beach, not that we have had many of them this year. What does October mean for you? All I can think of is heating on, cold, wet and windy days just like it is today but then the nice things are getting cosy on the sofa with your favourite soft throw, lighting the candles and having a mug of drinking chocolate with a dash of Baileys of course and then a good film or series. HYTHE FESTIVAL I popped over to Hythe yesterday which is only about five minutes from Folkestone in the car, traffic was minimal and parking was ok. On the green, in the middle of the one-way system they were holding the festival and my writing group Write By The Sea had a few tables where members were selling their books plus we had use of the marquee for some readings. MOTORHOME HAPPINESS ONLINE SHOP I do like a bit of pink and of course my camper so I was pleased to find this online shop on Facebook. I now have a matching set of mats for the campervan. Prices are very reasonable with the goods being sent almost straight away. There are many different colours and designs of all sorts of accessories. I do love the way so many establishments are reinventing themselves in this pandemic just to keep themselves afloat. I try to promote businesses in Folkestone so we can share the word about the new places opening up. The Chambers are going one step better, not only trying new things themselves but also helping out the smaller businesses in getting known in the town.
