I had a lovely afternoon out with Kara on Saturday in Deal which is about half an hour from Folkestone. I had never had food at The Lane before but have heard so many great things about this cute bar. The cocktails are grand with the bar staff all being trained really well in the making of them so it’s a lot quicker to get your drink than a lot of places. The choice is also very good with some different twists on some cocktails.
The hardest thing is trying to decide which one to have, I decided on the Cerise Leese and then the Sweet Moon. They were both delicious and would definitely have them again, in fact I cannot wait to go back and try some more.
The afternoon tea was very different to your usual scone and cake, with some unique offerings that were amazing. It was the best I had ever had and so nice to try different things. They have different themes so it’s best to keep an eye on their social media, the Peter Rabbit at Easter looked very cute. During May they have The Tiger Who Came For Tea for the children. Small offerings but full of flavour and very filling so you can take home what you cannot eat. They also have some events every so often with a burger and bingo night coming up.
