What a glorious setting for a Sunday lunch sitting in the sunshine, this takes me back to my childhood as we often used to come here as Nan and Grandad loved it and dreamt of having one of the cabin boats themselves. At The Malta, they have increased the seating and staff so even though it was very busy we got a nice table and within 30 minutes we had ordered and were eating our lunch. We had a choice of meats with the Sunday lunch which arrived with so many veg and the biggest Yorkshire pudding all for £12.
They have trips on the river so you can enjoy the views, the boat is covered so also ok on a drizzly day. The assortment of longboats and cabin boats make the views super with many permanent so they have their own small gardens.
A brilliant way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

It’s really lovely to just sit and watch the boats, one of my favourite places.
